Making a company donation is a simple and effective way to make helps us give the opportunity of reading to the poorest in the world.
Unrestricted donations provide us with the flexibility to fund the most needy partners and projects. We also welcome working in partnership with companies on developing projects of interest to them.
Our partnership with Pearson plc, a major international media company, has facilitated the exciting Reading Tents Project in East Africa. Pearson's donations of books, together with financial support, helped more than 300 schools in 2006 to participate in reading promotion activities and gain new collections of books, to help boost literacy levels and a love of reading. The project is run locally by book development councils in three countries, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
