The Unrefined Book Club is an on-line book club hosted by our good friends at Burnt Sugar. Whether you're in Bodminton, Barra or Birmingham, Devon, Dunoon or Dalston - you can take part! All you need is a computer and a passion for books.
Each month we discuss a new book - chosen by friends of Book Aid International and Burnt Sugar. Past choices have been offered up by Michael Morpurgo, Mariella Frostrup, Maeve Binchy and Alexander McCall Smith. Each book brings surprises, challenges and lots of interesting chats so join with us - in our lovely virtual armchair - as we read some wonderful books and then wistfully waffle about what sets us on fire.
Our book for June is “The Right Attitude to Rain” by Alexander McCall Smith.
This book was chosen by Burnt Sugar founder, Justine Cather, after a rather wet Hay Literary Festival.
